Joseph “Joey” Bourgeois, Jr. entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, May 8, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. After a long illness, “Joey” has moved on to be with his lost great loves. He joins his Mother, Shirley LeBlanc Bourgeois, his true love, Christine’s mother, Eugenie Simon Bourgeois and best friend, Roy Plaisance. He is survived by his loving daughter, Christine Marie Bourgeois, his loving and devoted father and step-mother, Joseph Bourgeois, Sr. and Norma Bourgeois, sisters, Melanie Bourgeois Hidalgo and Dana B. Cazabon (Ronnie). He leaves cherished memories to his nephew and best buddy, Anthony J. Persica (Alana), nieces, Lauren P. Bray (Cliff), Zoe and Corinne Cazabon, great niece, Coraline C. Bray and great nephew, “Tripp” Bray. His step siblings, Naomi R. Miller (Mike), Natalie R. Cambre, L J Raffray (Wendy) and their children as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. “Joey” was a former employee of Barbe’s Dairy and Dash Lumber. He and his beloved Christine loved and celebrated all things New Orleans offers such as Saints, Mardi Gras, Festivals and was an avid “LSU” fan! Rodney was born June 23, 1960. He attended Joshua Butler Elementary Shoool, Lincoln Middle School and graduated from West Jefferson High School.
Rodney attended Southern University at New Orleans for one year. He was employed at Avondale Shipyard. Rodney married Debra Numa of Edgar, La., where he resided for years.

Ronald "DJ DOC" Louis Clark passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center surronded by family and friends. Ronald was a graduate of West Jefferson HS and Tulane Univ. with a Bachelors Degree in Social Studies. He was a retired school teacher for Ruppell Academy For Advanced Studies.

Miss Jackson was born in New Orleans and lived in Algiers. Survivors include three sons, Keshon Craig, Dion and Thaddeus Jackson Jr.; a daughter, Kadijah Craig; her mother, Ella Moore Hunter; a brother, Edward Lloyd; two step brothers, James and Ike Hunter Jr. Three sisters, Shirley L. Pickens, Angel L Felder and Verna Lloyd; and a stepsister, Patricia A. Crawford.

Terri Lynn Smith, a kindergarten teacher at Total Community Action Academy died Sunday of heart failure at Pendleton Memorial Methodist hospital. She was 41. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Harvey. She graduated from John Ehret High School. Survivors include her husband, Junius Smith Jr.: her mother, Norma Turner, two sisters, Iris A. Boyd and Yolandis Turner; and a grandmother, Hazel Turner.
Dennis Joseph Strohmeyer of Gretna, LA, on February 5, 2017, 56 years old, a graduate of University of New Orleans and a former coach and teacher at Mandeville Junior High School as well as with the Jefferson Parish Public School System. He is survived by his sons, Alex Joseph Strohmeyer and Grant Michael Strohmeyer; his daughter, Jacquelyn Frances Strohmeyer; his mother, Frances Pierrottie Strohmeyer; brothers and sisters, Kathleen Strohmeyer Keppel, Susan Strohmeyer Million, Donald Joseph Strohmeyer, and Barbara Strohmeyer McGowan (John) and his former wife, Janice Darce Strohmeyer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Warren Joseph Strohmeyer and his sister, Joan Sandra Strohmeyer Broussard.
